due date

Participant Lists are due 14 days prior to camp. It is very important that you complete and submit your information in a timely manner. Our camp teams rely on this information to assign Bible Study groups, assign Track Times, and make housing assignments. We are unable to complete these important tasks until we have a completed participant list from every group for a particular camp.

Also, please note that the Participant List will automatically lock 14 days prior to camp. You will still have access to view your information, but you will be unable to make edits to participants and will need to contact your camp leadership (Camp Director or Assistant Director) for assistance.

Waiver and Release Form

Every participant at camp (campers, Team Assistants, and adults) must complete a 2026 Camp Waiver and Release form. Group Leaders will receive a copy of completed forms at the email address on file. You can also view the status of completed waivers in the Participant Management Platform (details above).

Be sure to provide your Reg ID when requesting waivers for your camp participants. Your registration ID is included in most camp communications and is located on your camp statement. If you are unable to locate your Reg ID, contact our team.

Need help getting these forms to parents? Click here for ideas on distributing the links to the Waiver and Release forms.

Waiver & release
Child Protection Training

Every adult (and Team Assistants over the age of 18) must complete the Child Protection Training course (certification valid for 2 years). Access the training via the link below. You may also share this URL directly with your leaders:

Use this link for all camp venues except Texas locations:
https://ministrygrid.lifeway.com/#/redeem-invite/KSSK/PZLT

Use this link for camp venues in Texas only:
https://ministrygrid.lifeway.com/#/redeem-invite/KSSK/PLJD

(Note: After you use the link above to login and access the training, you can simply navigate to ministrygrid.lifeway.com, login, and the training should be in your dashboard.)

Each adult must: (1) watch the videos and review the training materials, (2) complete the assessment, (3) download their certificate, and (4) provide a copy of the completed certificate to the Group Leader.

Update: Group Leaders are no longer required to submit copies of completed certificates to CentriKid! Group Leaders will sign the “Church Agreement From” (details below), indicating that all adults in your group have completed the training.

IMPORTANT: Churches attending camp in Texas (Austin College and Trinity Pines Conference Center) must bring physical copies of Child Protection Training certificates to camp.

Additional Details

The course is hosted on Ministry Grid, our online training platform. If you already have a Lifeway ID, use those credentials to login. If not, create a new account.

You must watch all videos to completion (even the trailing few seconds at the end) in order to advance to the quiz.

This certification is good for 2 years. If you have a certificate from a prior year that is still valid, you are welcome to turn it in to your Group Leader to satisfy this requirement.

Some churches or ministries use MinistrySafe, a third-party service, to provide “Sexual Abuse Awareness Training” for volunteers and staff. If you have completed this MinistrySafe training and can provide your completion certificate to your group leader, we will also accept this to satisfy our training requirement.

Important notice

Please note: Lifeway Camps hosts events in multiple states. This training was developed to reflect guidelines for our venues in states with the strictest regulations.

Per the Church Agreement Form, the Group Leader of each group is responsible for a child protection policy, as well as establishing guidelines and policies that ensure the safety of all participants in the group. This training is not intended to represent Lifeway Camps policy, but rather is provided as a free resource for Group Leaders and adults as you create your own safety policies for attending camp at your chosen venue.

Information provided in this training does not, and is not intended to, represent legal advice, and is for informational and training purposes only.

We look forward to partnering with you, along with our camp venues, to provide a safe, fun, impactful experience at camp.

*Course materials developed by Texas Baptist Camp Managers Association.
*Online assessment presented by Ministry Grid from Lifeway Christian Resources.

Background Checks

Every adult (and Team Assistants over the age of 18) must pass a national criminal background check before coming to camp. You are not required to submit copies of the background reports. Group Leaders will sign the “Church Agreement From” (details below), indicating that all adults in your group have been screened. Group Leaders must also cross check every adult sponsor with the National Sex Offender Website (https://www.nsopw.gov/).

You are welcome to use the company of your choice to conduct national background checks. One low-cost option is provided below.

The form will auto-populate the names of all Adult Leaders included on your list. Additional names can be added if needed (even if they are not included on your Participant List).
