omc

what is omc?

We may be a little biased, but OMC is the best game in the world!

OMC (Organized Mass Chaos) is our camp-wide relay game that takes place on the last full day of camp. Campers compete for their color teams by completing individual tasks. Everyone has a task (organized), but they are all happening at the same time (mass chaos!). Oh, and there will be plenty of shaving cream* and water (you probably don’t want to play in your Sunday best)! Check out more details below.

OMC rules

1. you can’t say no!

Many tasks during the game require help from other campers. Campers can ask anyone for help, and remember, you can’t say no!

2. do not enter the no fly zone.

This is the center circle where all the equipment for the game is housed, and it’s for the Orange Team only (adults)! If campers need any equipment or supplies, from water balloons to bandages, they must come to the center and ask for help!

3. Return all equipment to the no fly zone

Most of the equipment and supplies get reused throughout the game, so it’s important that campers return their gear after they complete a task. If someone returns a pool noodle, the odds are high that someone else will be asking for it within about 3 seconds!

color teams

At CentriKid, campers are assigned to a color team based on grade.

Completed 2nd & 3rd: YELLOW TEAM
Completed 4th: GREEN TEAM
Completed 5th: BLUE TEAM
Completed 6th: RED TEAM

Campers will compete in various games and activities all throughout camp, eating points for their team color. The competition reaches new levels during OMC, as the winning team receives tons of points!

4th Place: 10,000 points
3rd Place: 15,000 points
2nd Place: 20,000 points
1st Place: 25,000 points

Plus a bonus 10,000 points to the team who wins the team spirit award!

what about adults?

Adults are on the ORANGE TEAM at camp and will receive instructions from the Camp Director on how to help contribute to the chaos at OMC! Sadly, the Orange Team has never won OMC (and probably never will), but we definitely have the most fun!

We can’t wait for you to experience our favorite game with us! Sign up for camp today!

*Shaving cream is one of our favorite parts of OMC, and we will have all that is needed! If you do choose to bring your own to add to the fun, we kindly ask that you make sure it is non-sensitive. We cannot use sensitive shaving cream during OMC.
