what is the team assistant program?
The team assistant program allows each church group to bring their best high school juniors, seniors, or even college students to camp. Team assistants (TAs) count toward the required adult ratio (1:5), even if they are under the age of 18. Team assistants are housed with your church group like all other adults, and they help provide supervision for your group. As an added bonus, TAs get a behind-the-scenes opportunity to partner with a CentriKid staffer for the week, helping out at recreation and track times! Please identify any team assistants on your participant form, submitted 2 weeks prior to camp.
New for 2023! We are happy to offer a $100 discount* / spot for participants in the team assistant program. If you would like to add a team assistant to your existing registration, or if you are already planning to bring TAs, call our customer service team to have this discount applied to your account. 877-CAMP-123.
*High school or college students who attend camp but do not plan to participate in the TA program (assisting during recreation and track times) are not eligible for the discount. Younger students are also not eligible. Students must be at least rising high school juniors to participate and receive the discount.
[Note: This discount will not be applied to your account automatically. Please call to take advantage of this special pricing.]
CentriKid has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. After I left camp during my Red Team year, I remember counting down the summers until I could come back as a Team Assistant! I am beyond thankful to have gotten to participate as a TA for three summers. It was such a valuable experience (and who doesn’t love getting to go to camp)! I not only got to pour into the lives of children from my home church, but I was so encouraged by the CentriKid staff. The way that the staff poured into me meant more than I can express. So much so, that I am returning for my second summer as a CentriKid Staffer! One thing that I love about being a TA is that, unlike the CentriKid staff, you get to go home with the campers. The relationships you foster at camp are able to continue to grow when you go home! You can’t beat that!
