Bryan Thompson

As the Next-Gen Minister of Harvest Community Church in Fayetteville, AR, Bryan oversees the discipleship strategies for children and students. He is passionate about coming alongside families to provide insight, encouragement, and resources that contribute to the development of a Christ-centered dynamic in the home. Bryan and his wife Abbie connected over a love for sports, jet-skiing, and a commitment to family. They have been happily married for 7 years and have 2 hilarious kids.

Worship Leader

Jonathan Jackson

Jonathan has been leading worship for the past 16 years, serving at local churches as well as Lifeway Centrikid and Fuge camps in the western and southeastern parts of the United States. He and his wife live in the Nashville, TN area with their three children where Jonathan works as a songwriter/music producer and serves on the worship team at his church!

about the campus

The staff we work alongside at SBU are amazing! They are dedicated to going above and beyond to make it a great week at camp! This beautiful campus is in a small, quiet town and is very close together, which makes keeping up with campers and getting to see them at Recreation and Track Times easy.

HOUSING INFORMATION

Two girls dorms and one boys dorm on campus are suite-style with 2 per room, and a bathroom shared between two rooms. Two boys dorms are 2 per room, and a bath on the hall.

All beds are twin beds. Sheets and towels are NOT provided. Also bring soap and paper towel for the bathrooms.

Housing will be determined when we have received each church’s participant list in the spring.

SBU has a Book Store that is open from 8:30 to 5:00, for snacks and gifts. Pricing is comparable to the pricing you would see anywhere else, with things like candy and chips ranging from $.50-2.00.

Each day during Hang Time, the pool is open until 5pm, not 5:30pm. You will want to let campers know they’ll want to go quickly to the pool to get in as much time as possible swimming, instead of going later during hang time.

In case of bad weather

We communicate with Group Leaders on-site when we know bad weather is coming, and our staff have plans in place whenever storms pop-up unexpectedly.

In case of inclement weather, we use The Meyers Wellness Center on campus to keep campers safe while still being able to enjoy each activity at camp. Your Camp Director will keep you updated on everything you need to know when conditions like these arise at camp.
