Matt Baker

Matt currently lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Kelly and 3 kids, Eli (8), Caleb (6), and Addie Claire (3) where he serves on staff at the Summit Church as the Pastor of Discipleship at the Brier Creek Campus. As a former Kids Pastor, Matt has a huge passion to reach kids with the gospel and is excited to partner with CentriKid for another summer!

Worship Leader

Mark Woodside

Mark has been leading worship for the past 23 years, serving at local churches as well as student camps along the eastern side of the United States. He and his wife, Amanda, live in the Space Coast, FL area with their daughter Olivia Grace and Australian Shepherd, Camper. One of Mark’s greatest joys is being able to sing songs about Jesus with students as well as help encourage them in their faith and walk with Jesus. Mark is also a singer/songwriter and has written and recorded an EP of original worship songs. You can find his EP, There Is No One, on all streaming platforms under the name ‘woodsideBand’.

Ridgecrest Conference Center has an amazing staff that helps camp run smoothly. They are dedicated to going above and beyond to make it a great week at camp! This campus has a fantastic view of the North Carolina mountains. This is a great place to take your kids and escape for a few days and have a phenomenally fun time at Recreation, Bible Study and Track Times.

When you arrive on campus, you will follow the CentriKid flags to the ARC. There, our staff will take your kids, and you will go inside with your Camp Director to get checked in.

The coffee shop, Clouds, is a great place to hang out and get something to drink, and the Nibble Nook has just been remodeled!

Ridgecrest offers disc golf, putt-putt golf, multiple hiking trails, and more! If you have questions or need more information about recreation options, call 828.669.4844.

Your church can reserve a fire ring for one of the nights after church group devotion. Email centrikid@lifeway.com to let us know what date you wish to reserve, and which fire ring. (Mountain Laurel Fire Ring seats up to 100 people / Royal Gorge Fire Ring seats about 30). Both rings are a short walk from the ARC where CentriKid worship takes place. Both fire rings are $75 for 2 hours, and the staff at Ridgecrest will build, light, and extinguish the fire for you.

There is not a pool on campus at Ridgecrest, but we will offer lots of fun water games for campers during Track Times and Hang Time.

HOUSING INFORMATION

During the weeks CentriKid is at Ridgecrest, housing facilities include Mt. Laurel, Rhodo, Royal Gorge, and Walnut. Not all facilities are available each week.

Housing will be determined when Ridgecrest has received a participant list for each church attending camp for the week.

in case of bad weather

We communicate with Group-Leaders on-site when we know bad weather is coming, and our staff have plans in place whenever storms pop-up unexpectedly.

In case of inclement weather, we use the Arc, gym, and other facilities on campus to keep campers safe while still being able to enjoy each activity at camp. Your Camp Director will keep you updated on everything you need to know when conditions like these arise at camp.
