Camp Pastor

Jonathan Freeman

I have known my calling for ministry since the 7th grade. Church was always home for me; I want to instill the same joy in Church that was given to me. I am currently serving as the Minister to Kids at First Baptist Church of Decatur, AL. I am a husband to Allie and dad to Josiah (6) and Wiley (4).

Worship Leader

Lauren Thomas

Hey, I’m Lauren! I am the Worship Leader at Church of the Harvest in Olive Branch, MS. I started leading worship at age 15 and fell in love with seeing how God touched lives through worship. I went on to get my B.A. in Modern Music with an emphasis on Worship Leading. I love traveling and meeting people from all different cultures and backgrounds. I love experiencing and embracing all that God has created. I have a huge heart for kids and am very passionate about investing in the next generation. I believe that there is so much we can learn from one another and I love having the opportunity to serve within God’s Kingdom. Can’t wait to meet you!

About the campus

The Lee University staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful! Anything you need, from maintenance to lost keys, can be taken care of in the Conn Center. They are always available for questions or to handle issues. The campus also has tons of green space which is great for campers to toss a frisbee on during Hang Time or after meals.

Amenities on campus

There is a snack shop called the “Coke Truck” that will be open for sodas, chips, candy, etc. Also, group leaders can order 1 large 1 topping pizza for $7. There is no pool at Lee, but we do offer a water Track Time for campers.

in case of bad weather

We communicate with Group-Leaders on-site when we know bad weather is coming, and our staff have plans in place whenever storms pop-up unexpectedly.

In case of inclement weather, we use the DeVos Recreation Center on campus to keep campers safe while still being able to enjoy each activity at camp. Your Camp Director will keep you updated on everything you need to know when conditions like these arise at camp.
