About the campus

The Lee University staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful! Anything you need, from maintenance to lost keys, can be taken care of in the Conn Center. They are always available for questions or to handle issues. The campus also has tons of green space which is great for campers to toss a frisbee on during Hang Time or after meals.

HOUSING INFORMATION

Housing includes dorm-style with bath on hall, suite-style dorms, or apartment-style dorms. All are twin beds with bathroom either between two rooms or on the hall. In some situations, there may be 3/room, but we will let you know before camp if that is the case. Potential housing facilities are Nora Chambers Hall, Tharp Hall, Simmons Hall, Keeble Hall, Hicks Hall, Livingston Hall, and Atkins-Ellis. More housing info can be found at: https://www.leeuniversity.edu/residential-life/

Sheets and towels are NOT provided.

Housing will be determined when we have received a participant list for each church attending camp for the week.

Amenities on campus

There is a snack shop called the “Coke Truck” that will be open for sodas, chips, candy, etc. Also, group leaders can order 1 large 1 topping pizza for $7. There is no pool at Lee, but we do offer a water Track Time for campers.

Close to Campus

The beauty of attending camp on a college campus is you know there are snack and coffee options close by. Here are some additional locations that may be useful:

  • Starbucks (5 mins)
  • Bradley Memorial Hospital (4 min)
  • Walmart (9 mins)
  • Ocoee Coffee Co. (3 mins)
  • Papa John’s Pizza (5 mins)

in case of bad weather

We communicate with Group-Leaders on-site when we know bad weather is coming, and our staff have plans in place whenever storms pop-up unexpectedly.

In case of inclement weather, we use the DeVos Recreation Center on campus to keep campers safe while still being able to enjoy each activity at camp. Your Camp Director will keep you updated on everything you need to know when conditions like these arise at camp.
