Camp Pastor

Chase Allen

Chase is the Next Gen Pastor at First Baptist Church Umatilla in Umatilla, FL. Chase is married to his wife, Taylor, of 12 years, and they have three awesome kids – Noah (10), Addi (7), and Emery (3). Chase has served in Next Gen Ministry roles in Florida and South Carolina for the last 15 years and loves sharing Jesus with the Next Generation. When he’s not at Church, Chase can be found hanging with his family, watching Alabama football or the Orlando Magic, collecting sports cards, drinking coffee, or reading a book.

Worship Leader

Mark Woodside

Mark has been leading worship for the past 23 years, serving at local churches as well as student camps along the eastern side of the United States. He and his wife, Amanda, live in the Space Coast, FL area with their daughter Olivia Grace and Australian Shepherd, Camper. One of Mark’s greatest joys is being able to sing songs about Jesus with students as well as help encourage them in their faith and walk with Jesus. Mark is also a singer/songwriter and has written and recorded an EP of original worship songs. You can find his EP, There Is No One, on all streaming platforms under the name ‘woodsideBand’.

about the campus

Lake Yale’s campus is close together, which makes keeping up with campers and getting to see them at recreation and track times easy. There is a great view of the lake and the facilities are very nice.

amenities on campus

Lake Yale does have a pool available for use during the day. CentriKid staff will help establish pool rotations so that everyone has access throughout the week. The canteen area is great for campers and adults to hang out and get snacks. At meal-time, Lake Yale has a full beverage bar offering soda, water, juices, milk, and chocolate milk. For food options there is a salad bar, entrée, and a choice of side. Variety of desserts is offered. Some other amenities at Lake Yale that the campers love and that are centrally located are Gaga ball, 9 Square, hammocks, and a playground. Also, close to the worship area is the basketball court.

in case of bad weather

We communicate with Group-Leaders on-site when we know bad weather is coming, and our staff have plans in place whenever storms pop-up unexpectedly.

In case of inclement weather, we use the MaGuire Auditorium on campus to keep campers safe while still being able to enjoy each activity at camp. Your Camp Director will keep you updated on everything you need to know when conditions like these arise at camp.
